Roën Janyk is the Web Services Librarian and Library Department Chair at Okanagan College. She has a keen interest in improving and adapting library user services. Roën has independently and collaboratively presented and published on numerous occasions, discussing topics such as open source software in libraries, utilizing electronic library collections to reduce education costs, optimizing the management of e-resources, core skills for e-resources librarians, and informing library services with user behavior data . She earned her MLIS from the University of British Columbia, and a BA in Psychology from Acadia University.
