In Fall 2016, the USC Libraries consolidated hundreds of fund codes used for library acquisitions down to approximately 50 while simultaneously giving subject librarians responsibility for managing serials and database expenditures rather than simply monograph purchases.  This session will report on the progress and problems of the project to date.

Data comes in a multitude of formats, concerns most subject areas, but is often found freely available. After pulling from a variety of resources, talking to numerous librarians, and researching offerings, this presentation presents all necessary elements of a data resource into an easy-to-use evaluation rubric and collection development policy.
