The library was approached to assist course directors to navigate the complicated world of copyright for MOOC development. This requires an extensive amount of time and effort to provide a deep analysis and understading of a variety of resources and copyright guidance.

With emphasis in ageing populations on lifelong learning, university based retirement communities are on the rise. These communities take many forms, from affiliated centres to full blown campus residences. Through open education resources, librarians can offer a 21st century education to seniors and contribute to an “age-friendly” learning environment.
